Debbie Gabaree

Deborah J. Gabaree is Assistant General Counsel for the University of Notre Dame. In that capacity, Ms. Gabaree primarily provides advice on immigration matters to university departments, employees and prospective employees. She also advises on other legal matters including litigation, intellectual property, corporate governance, charity gaming, and bankruptcy cases. 

Ms. Gabaree has been with the Notre Dame's Office of General Counsel since 1990. She previously held the positions of Legal Assistant and Manager of Employee Immigration and Senior Legal Assistant. Prior to joining the University, she was employed as a Paralegal with the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg.

Ms. Gabaree received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Indiana University and a J.D. degree from Notre Dame Law School. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the National Association of College and University Attorneys, and the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors.
