Susan Galan, Staff Attorney

Susan Galán is a Staff Attorney for the Office of General Counsel. Her primary responsibilities include drafting position statements, reviewing employment contracts, advising Human Resource partners, reviewing and advising on matters related to University policies, and conducting employment law and Title IX-related research. 

 

Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Ms. Galán worked as an Assistant General Counsel for the Chicago Board of Education. In that role, she litigated labor arbitrations and employee dismissal hearings.  In addition, Ms. Galán provided legal counsel to school administrators and human resource professionals on a variety of employment-related matters. 

Ms. Galán earned her juris doctor degree from Notre Dame Law School in 2016. She received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Latino Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 2012.
