Brandon Gearhart

Prior to working for the Office of General Counsel, Mr. Gearhart worked as an employment attorney in Louisville, Kentucky, where he represented a wide variety of employers in legal disputes.  His practice focused largely on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, but also handled cases involving the National Labor Relations Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, retaliatory discharge, and covenants not to compete. Mr. Gearhart is the Employment and Policy Legal Professional for the Office of General Counsel.  His primary responsibilities include general policy process development and management, employment team project management, compliance program analysis, and training & education programs.

Mr. Gearhart earned a Juris Doctor at the University of Michigan in 2012.  He received a B.A. in Political Science, an A.A. in History, a Certificate in International Studies, and a Certificate in Civil Education and Public Advocacy from Indiana University in 2008. Prior to starting law school, he received a Fulbright Grant to South Korea.
